DHYG 425 Dynamics of Health Care
This course examines current issues and trends affecting health care delivery as related to the profession of dental hygiene. Course content addresses the political, economic, cultural, and psychosocial forces shaping the health care delivery system and the profession of dental hygiene. The evolution of the profession, educational standards and accreditation issues are discussed. The future of dental hygiene is discussed in the context of alternative delivery models, collaboration, and legislative trends across the United States. Ethics and professionalism complete the course content.
